All of a sudden, Cyberlink keeps lagging extremely badly and crashing, even when editing a 5 minute video. I meet all the system requirements and it is only recently it hasn't been working properly. I've just acquired a used IBM ThinkPad T42 with Win 7 Ultimate (fully up-to-date). I've turned it off via the Microsoft Security Client Interface, with the inevitable warnings. I've turned off msseces.exe in MsConfig. American horror story freak show wiki. I've deleted the file EppOobe.eti which reappears at the next boot, even though it's supposed to be turned off.
In the Services control panel, I see that Microsoft Antimalware is still running, and the options to disable it are greyed out. It also won't let me close it down. I suspect that is the cause of my problem. The logs say it has been updated many times since installation. I don't have the original install disks from the seller, and I suspect a 'repair' would do more damage than good at this age. If I can stop the crashing service, then I'll use Avast to protect the laptop when it's on the Internet.
Does anyone know a way to do that? Google has failed me.
After i start my server with essentials, it will crash shortly after. Checked my config file and i have no idea why, but apprently this is the problem, and this is the default config file.
